Our classical tours consist of our most requested itineraries. These tours cover Jordan’s most conspicuous and famous sites and range from 4 nights up to 12 nights in the Kingdom. These tours can be booked for groups and individual travelers and include transportation in air conditioned, new vehicles equipped with refreshments and snacks as well as access to our 24/7 customer service team.

Jordan Classical Tours First Option

1st day: Arrival
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, our representative will meet and assist you through customs and immigration procedures, then transfer to hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.

2nd day: Umm Qais, Ajloun, and Jerash
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Umm Qais (ancient Gadara), one of the most brilliant of Greco-Roman cities, a city, rich with basalt ruins and overlooking the Jordan Valley, Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the sea of Galilee). then to the mighty Crusaders Castle of Ajloun. Departure at noon through pine forests and olive groves to the fascinating Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Our guide will take you for a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. Return to hotel in Amman for overnight.

3rd day: Amman and Desert Castles
After breakfast, go for Amman city tour to visit the Roman Amphitheater and the Citadel, then drive to Desert Castles to visit three surprising examples of Islamic art and architecture: Azraq Fort, Qusayr Amra, and Qasr Kharaneh. Back to hotel in Amman for overnight.

4th day: Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Kerak
Breakfast at hotel, then departure for a journey to south of Amman, Visit the Christian Town of Madaba “The City of Mosaics” and take a detour to Mount Nebo, the site of the endearing monastery. Proceed to Kerak through Wadi Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. After lunch visit the Kerak castle with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period. Depart to Petra for dinner and overnight.

5th day: Petra
Breakfast. The visit of the ancient Nabatean Capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose Red City with its spectacular treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Lunch inside Petra. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

6th day: Petra and Wadi Rum
After breakfast drive to little Petra (Al-Beidah), then south to the largest and most magnificent of Jordan’s desert Wadi Rum, optional 2 hours 4×4 tour in the desert, go to camp site, dinner and overnight under a goat hair tent and the wonderful starry sky.

7th day: Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, and Amman
Drive down, after breakfast, to the lowest point on Earth the Dead Sea, enjoy swimming in the buoyant waters and get covered in mud. Drive to Amman for overnight.

8th day: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, check out then transfer to airport with assistance.

Jordan Classical Tours Second Option

Day 1, Arrival Amman
Your Jordan holiday begins with your arrival to the Queen Alia International Airport. Assistance with formalities by a Jordan Via Petra Travel & Tours representative and transfer to the hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2, Amman/ Ajlun/ Jerash/ Dead Sea
Breakfast. Start your tour of Jordan by taking a short bus trip north to the Mamluk fortress of Ajlun, followed by a visit to the Graeco-Roman city of Jerash. After lunch drive down to the lowest point on earth for a dip in the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3, Dead Sea/ Madaba/ Mt. Nebo/ Wadi Mujib/ Kerak/ Petra
Breakfast. A whole day to explore the King’s highway, which was once part of the ancient Silk Road. Visit the mosaic town of Madaba, and stop over at Mount Nebo for a view over the Jordan Valley. Continue your tour in Jordan by moving south to Wadi Mujib then proceed to the Crusader’s Castle of Kerak. Lunch followed by visit. Transfer to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 4, Petra
Breakfast. Morning tour of Petra, the Rose Red City of the Nabateans. Start your guided tour with a horse ride up to the Siq and proceed to explore this amazing world heritage site.The Rose Red City of Petra will surely surpass your wildest expectations. Lunch inside the city at the Petra Basin restaurant. Visit the higher parts of the city before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5, Petra (Aaron’s Tomb)
Breakfast. Morning departure for a full day camel ride to Aaron’s tomb, isolated on the top of one of Petra’s highest mountains. Lunch box en-route. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6, Petra/ Beida/ Wadi Rum
Breakfast. Late morning transfer to Beida, also known as Little Petra, and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests. Continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, where lunch is served followed by a jeep tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Enjoy the view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea. Transfer to the Bedouin camp area deep inside the desert where a large Bedouin tent will be set to serve as the group’s sitting room and smaller high quality Canadian sleeping tents will be prepared with comfortable mattresses, sheets and blankets. Traditional barbecue dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7, Wadi Rum/ Dana/ Amman
Breakfast. Morning departure to the Dana Nature Reserve. Apart from its wildlife the reserve is rich with archaeological sites and culture. During your holiday to Jordan you can always go in for a short hiking tour at the reserve followed by lunch at the Guest House. Departure north back to Amman for dinner and overnight.

Day 8, departure
Breakfast. Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport. At the end of your tour in Jordan you will receive assistance with formalities and departure.

Jordan & The Holy Land: 8 DAYS, 7 NIGHTS

1st day Arrival at Amman   Airport. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Amman.
2nd day Drive to King   Hussein Bridge visiting: Jerash the Greco-Roman city. Afternoon cross the   border towards Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
              3rd                day Full day tour   Jerusalem. Walk in the Old City of Jerusalem and visit the Fourteen Stations   of the Cross (the Via Dolorosa) and the Holy Sepulcher the Wailing Wall and   the Esplanade of Al Aqsa Mosque. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of   Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem.
4th day Early morning visit   Jerusalem New city. Drive to the border and continue through the Jordan   Valley towards the Dead Sea, free time to enjoy swimming. Evening drive to   Amman. Overnight in Amman.
5th day Early morning drive   through King’s Way towards Petra visiting in rout Madaba, Mt. Nebo and Kerak.   Overnight in Petra.
6th day Full day in Petra.   Visit the magnificent Nabatean Red-Rose City. Overnight in Petra.
7th day Morning free in   Petra. Afternoon drive towards Wadi Rum; and with a 4×4 Jeep trace the steps   of Lawrence of Arabia in the deep enigmatic sands of the glorious desert of   Wadi Rum. Drive to Aqaba. Overnight in Aqaba.
8th day Transfer to Aqaba   Airport for final departure.
